For this last post, I'll be posting another version of "Ride On Time" sang by May J this time (live version). I just fell in love with this version because it's a refreshing cover of one of my all time favorite songs. It was originally sang by Yamashita Tatsuro. Several posts ago, I posted a video regarding the opening of the Drama "Good Luck". That was the Ride On Time song! I can go to a sunny beach of Kahala or Ala Moana and listen to this all day! It just gives me this super awesome vibe like I can't explain it. Enjoy!

POST #9 - 80 Days Around the World (London Orchestra Version)
Hello everyone,
For my last post, I'll be posting the song "80 days around the world" by Victor Young. This is the London Orchestra version of the song. I first heard this song when I was about 7 years old. I forgot what drama it was from exactly; but somehow I managed to find it after all these years!

POST #8 - Girl from Ipanema
Hello everyone!
This week I'll be posting a song "Girl from Ipanema". The following song is a Brazilian Bossa Nova song. I first heard hit on a CD when I was 3 years old back in 1998. The first version is by Eliane Elias from the album Eliane Elias sings Jobim. The second one is a performance by Lisa Watanabe Ono. In my opinion, I love her version the best! Finals are coming up pretty soon - hang in there folks! Enjoy!
Have a great week everyone!

POST #5: "Manatsu no Sounds good!" by AKB48. (This post will be updated more through the weekend)
Hello everyone!
This week I will be posting songs that get me into a rhythm when I study! This may not be your taste, but it gets me going. Also, coffee helps a lot too! The first song is called "Manatsu no Sounds Good!" by AKB48. I have first posted the actual song; then the next one is the instrumental version (supposed to be tailored to karaoke theme); the third one of this song is the piano version of it; and the last version is the guitar version (very good!). Hope you guys enjoy it! I will be updating this post if I find more songs!
Have a great weekend everyone and best of luck to your exams!
UPDATED: the current song that I 'm going to upload later on is called "Present pleasure" by Z.O.O. In particular, this song has that "night drive" feel to it. It just gets me pumped up. Taking your car out for night drives and listening to these types of music is the best feeling!

POST #4: Soul In Me by Tojami Sessions
This week I will be changing gears. Other than posting a Japanese song each week, I am going to now post 'Soul In Me' by Tojami Sessions. In particular, this music genre would generally fall into the "Deep House" category of music. Even more specifically, "Deep House Lounge" music that has that "boutique sophisticated" feel to it. It's way different from elevator music like how other people perceive it as. Enjoy!

POST #3: Song: Ride On Time (opening theme) --- Japanese Drama: GoodLuck
Hello everyone!
I hope everything is going well for you guys! This week, I'll be posting a song called "Ride On Time" by Yamashita Tatsuro. This is a very popular song is Japan, especially in the 1980s during the "Bubble Economy", when the economy was euphoric in Japan at that time. They used this as a theme song in 2003 for the drama called "GoodLuck". The drama "GoodLuck" was a Japanese drama featuring a Pilot who is working his way up from the ranks. His usual flight route is from Tokyo to Honolulu and vice versa. That is why this drama is very popular in Japan, since the Japanese are obsessed with Hawai'i. Also, mix in the fact for aviation lovers who are just into jets, airplanes, and cool aeronautic stuff watched it as well! All in all, that is why it is so popular till this day (people still watch it). Take a look!
Have a great week everyone!

POST #2: Choo Choo Train by Exile
Hey everyone,
The video above: This week I'll be posting a song "Choo Choo Train" by Exile. This is a really popular song in Japan. It's like the staple of the modern 2000s music era. This Exile version came out in 2003 and was an instant hit!
The video above: I also like the other version of "Choo Choo Train" as well. For instance, the version by Z.O.O is the original version which was released back in 1991. These are both "go to" songs for me whenever I have a really crappy day. I just plug my phone into the car speakers and blast them away - while driving and looping around the airport. That gets my mind straight.
Have a great week everyone!

POST #1: Everything by MISIA Cover
Aloha everyone!
This week, I will be posting a song called "Everything" by MISIA (pronunciation: Misha). This is a cover by Morie on a Japanese program - a contest where they sing hit songs. How does this song make you feel? I'm not about political correctness, so don't hesitate to criticize it of course. For instance, "I don't like the song", or "This song is not my type or not my style". Anything! I really like honesty! I love figuring out people's music tastes - it makes me know them even more!
Have a great weekend!
